This is a post written very kindly by one of my clients to share the short and long term benefits that she feels she got from having a Magic Fitness Personal Trainer - some of them, even I didn't realise! This particular client was one of my regulars in the UK before we moved out here to Perth, but as she explains, we still stay in touch and she is still feeling the lasting benefits of having worked with Magic Fitness which gives me so much job satisfaction and fulfillment! Hopefully explaining it in her own words will help you to evaluate whether there is something Magic Fitness can offer you to help you achieve the results you want. 1. Form Good Habits: Add Consistency
Sometimes when left to my own devices I can tend to find 'more important / urgent' things to do - otherwise known as total and utter procrastination. An appointment in the diary with a Personal Trainer means that I'm committed. I'm not going to cancel or put it off and if in the past (like me) you may have been guilty off putting off the odd (or every) workout session, a personal trainer is a great way to build that essential muscle needed for your dream body - the consistency muscle! Consistency is about creating new, positive habits, and working out regularly is essential! If you can't quite get there yourself, even if you hire a Personal Trainer just for a month or so until you are in the consistency zone, it will pay dividends further down the line. 2. Crank Up Your Workouts: Add Intensity Until I hired Dominique I had no idea what I was capable of. I wondered why I wasn't seeing results, until I realised that I had not even been close to pushing myself anywhere near my limits! A good Personal Trainer can help you to smash through your physical and mental barriers when it comes to your beliefs about what you can achieve. This can be life-changing even when it comes to working out on your own as you KNOW your body can do more, and you end up pushing yourself each and every time. I still here Dom's voice in my head on those days where I know I'm coasting and am sure to pick up the pace! 3. Take Action!: Add Accountability I'm often really bad at putting myself first (like many women) and can tend to be a bit of a people-pleaser so what really worked for me is having someone to be accountable to. If I was reaching for a bar of chocolate, I'd stop and think 'I don't want to let Dominique down' and for me, that was enough to put me off eating it. If you are often driven by others more than yourself, a Personal Trainer is a wonderful way of getting results that benefit you by trying to please someone else! 4. Improve Your Technique: Add Efficiency Again, you don't have to use a Personal Trainer for the rest of your life to see and feel the benefits. Even just one session can ensure you learn proper technique and form which can prevent injury and maximise your results. Not only that but in terms of efficiency, an hour blasting off a workout with a Magic Fitness trainer will be way more efficient than working out on your own! Trust me! 5. Get Creative! : Add Variety Any good personal trainer worth their salt knows how to mix it up! Creating different workouts helps to keep your mind and body engaged and actually gets better results by constantly challenging your muscles - and the more your muscles are challenged, the quicker you tone up! If you've been hitting the gym for the last 12 months and running on the treadmill for 30 minutes followed by a few light weights, you might as well save your money as your body will be entirely conditioned to this workout and whilst keeping you healthy, it's unlikely to be producing results. A personal trainer can keep life exciting when it comes to working out by teaching you new techniques, exercises and introducing new equipment that will keep your mind and body guessing! After all they say variety is the spice of life right?! 6. Get Some Support and Feel the Love!: Add Connection One of the most unexpected and valuable benefits that Magic Fitness Personal Training brought me was connection and support! I always loved health and fitness and was really interested in anything mind and body. To have someone to chat about it with (when I wasn't gasping for breath!) get inspiration from and bounce ideas off was what reignited my passion for training again - something I had lost in my early 30's thanks to a hectic career and little time for myself. This passion has stayed with me, and even though now we live on different continents (miss you Dom!), I still carry this enthusiasm for training and STILL use everything Magic Fitness taught me two years ago! If you're feeling that you're lacking CONSISTENCY, INTENSITY, ACCOUNTABILITY, EFFICIENCY, VARIETY or PASSION / CONNECTION in your exercise program you need a Personal Trainer to wake your workouts up again. My advice would be to just book one session to begin with and then jot down the long and short term benefits after. You won't be disappointed! BOOK A SESSION TODAY!
